Whooo!

I'm having some thoughts here:

Possibly our mind is a quantum probability field? Like matter forms from energy, so does our self form from mind. Mind and the sub atomic realms may be one. What is the limit of your imagination? Do physics apply? I think the imagination IS a reality. Tangibility and perception and the subconscious higher mind. Gaia? Maybe this is merely a soil in which we grow? So I ask, what about the sun? What lies above and beyond? Out in space? Above the minds eye? I will meditate on this today. What is the source of myself, my thoughts, my emotions, sensations, experiences and actions, and how do they grow til fruition and death? Can I cultivate these seed like facets? I watch them grow and die like debris in the waves. And I come back, i'm going to be late for work. *chugs coffee*

Alchemical Process

Seven steps according to this site:
  1. Calcination
  2. Dissolution
  3. Separation
  4. Conjunction
  5. Fermentation
  6. Distillation
  7. Coagulation
I think I would be on step one lol, I find this really interesting. As above so below, huh?

Flower Power!

"Death is not the worst that can happen to men." -Plato

"To care only for well-being seems to me positively ill-bred. Whether it's good or bad, it is sometimes very pleasant, too, to smash things." -Fyodor Dostoevsky

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." As quoted in the Kalama Sutra

When I do occasionally pull my head up from my own trance like inner monologues, I notice that I am not the only one in a hypnotized state. Often, I find myself saddened by the zombies that have been molded from those with potential for love and creation. Maybe I am being too judgmental? It just seems that unless you keep weather as the main topic of discussion, most people really don't care or have the desire to shake their glass enclosures and really I suppose that is fine, but if you notice, a lot of these people will also look down on you for bringing up alternative topics. If you are employed, more than likely if you look in your employee handbook or whatever you will find a section saying you are not to speak about politics, religion, or any questionable subjects. This is probably a good thing, because when one's beliefs are questioned and possibly shown to be false by a stranger, that person may get very angry. Imagine how many have been injured and killed because of their philosophical nature. I am lucky to live in a somewhat alternative area, so I can get away with a lot without incurring the wrath of mobs without thumbs. Violence, and even anger, is rarely necessary. I often wonder what we can do. If you ask a bunch of people why they think everyone is so stupid, they will give you an answer that seems to fall into two categories. They say: what do you mean, you are so negative! Or, I agree or disagree for reason X. It is all opinion I suppose. A long time ago I was angry and frustrated about something or other, and I asked a random person, "Why don't people ask why?" And they quickly responded, "Why should we ask why?" I couldn't answer.

"So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,

Blue skies from pain.

Can you tell a green field

From a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?" -Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here

It is easy to judge people, to say they are wrong or stupid or whatever, but all in all, who really knows. We are all in the same canoe, hot and cold are the same thing. If a person is nice, and compassionate with me, I don't care what they believe. They can tell me that the universe is going to go through an evolution of consciousness in 2012, and I will tell them its possible and it sounds interesting. We should never just bash what someone believes in, unless we can logically prove it false. One could say the world is actually flat, or that it doesn't exist at all. Another might say that with tools and math, we can learn exactly what the earth is shaped like.

Analogy of the divided line (Taken from wikipedia, not very in depth, i would suggest reading it from Plato himself.)

This is a very interesting idea to me. I have a hard time understanding it fully, but I am trying. Plato says something like: reality is divided into two parts, one of which is the physical visible world that we perceive with our senses, the other is the intelligible world that exists in our minds or elsewhere. Read and study Plato. The link is a short read.

Seed of Life

"Are you a genius?", he asked sarcastically.
"Of course not! I just get super high, and read crazy stuff, and talk with crazy people. I don't retain any of this knowledge, I just look at it and say 'Duuuuuude, this is awesome!'. I have nothing but doubt my friend."

This is my first post. Pour yourself some coffee, take a toke and relax.

Who else has doubt? I'm sure a lot of you. I hold my doubt closer than any other truth, make love to it, then kick it out of bed with a curse and no phone call the next day. Things are a changing. Anyone who lurks the interwebz searching for truth long enough will eventually find some reference to the NWO, lizard people, David Icke, Sumerian invasion from Nibiru, or any other conspiracy theory. Even in the event of these situations, we must retain ourselves. But first we must figure out who we really are. This blog will be my thoughts, as any other blog is, just a spewing of an individual's ideas like vomit into an already polluted pond, and will grow and evolve along side my inquisition. I would like to find out everything that we can hold on to when all but doubt itself has been doubted away, thanks Descartes. But we must have doubt for doubt as well. Someone once said to me, "We will get closer to truth by questioning, then we will by accepting that there is no truth...what else are we gonna do?" Well, we could meditate I suppose. Direct understanding maybe? Who is to say?

I am not searching for a unified field theory. I am not searching for truth. I am searching for experiences, sensations, creations, groupings, separations, spaces between. I am on a quest for an unknown purpose. As anyone else on this quest can see, there are many paths ahead. Many seem to cross, or even coalesce, but some seem completely obscure. There is always another rabbit hole as well, for I can also choose to simply sit down and look inside to find myself at a different crossroad. What path do you choose? It seems sometimes like most choose the path of occupation, reproduction, and retirement, only to find themselves staring at the ceiling alone in their deathbed wondering who they really are without their body. One could also suggest that I have already chosen my path by seeing this commonality between other Americans. Maybe I choose to see all these facets of my experience as reality, maybe its like that movie The Matrix!! I have no idea, but I assure you that I am much more interested in what we can't see than what is in front of our face. Call me an escapist, ill call you a prisoner. We are all on the same path I reckon anyway, so have some love, and let people speak their minds. Behold the ancient axiom, "Know thyself." and meditate on this for a long time. I am no guru, just a brother, a friend, a lover, an enemy, whatever you choose to see me as. You are your own source of power, know thyself and your passions and in the face of all opposition you will be immortal by your own self sacrifice. As above, so below.
